Thermal Antics
by Laurel ~ March 1st, 2010
Llewellyn, my husband, is a fan of gadgets and technology. When we moved, we realized it would be important to manage temperature (heat, especially) in various parts of our house as well as in the carriage house. So Llewellyn set up a system that allows him to monitor from his computer and added it to the Weather Underground list of weather stations.
Recently we had family visiting for the weekend, including our nephew from Boston, who stayed in the carriage house due to wallpaper chaos in La Belle Vie. Having viewed a demo of the weather station, Chris decided to have a little fun with Llewellyn. Next morning, when Llew had a look at the graph (note the yellow line displaying the temperature inside the carriage house) there was a notable spike.
You may have to click and view the large size to see it clearly.
There has been a lot of speculation about the temperature spike, but no one has really come clean regarding the means used to create said spike. Though there has been many suggestions, and not all of them nice.
Ah, family!
